Jari Matti latvala has started his fight for the 2014 title by taking the win in Rally Sweden, round 2 of the world rally championships.

The finn was locked in a battle with his team mates, Ogier and Volkswagen’s junior driver Mikkelsen. Until on day 3 Ogier got sucked into a snowbank and dropped out of the top ten. After that , latvala and Mikkelsen swaped places several times. But in the end, Jari Matti Latvala took the win over his junior team mate by 53 seconds.

Volkswagen have a great start to the season with their drivers winning the first 2 rallies of the season. And a VW 1 – 2 after Sweden. Citroen were 2nd best with Mads Ostberg & Mikko Hirvonen taking 3rd and 4th.
