With tough weather conditions today, Loeb took it very easy, 6th fastest on first stage of morning. Petter was on a mission and went fastest, claiming 2nd place back off Sordo, but on the following 24km stage, the sheet ice an fog caught the Norwegian out. Petter spun off, lost 2 mins an dropped back to 3rd, now 1 minute behind Sordo. It was in fact new Citroen driver Mikko Hirvonen who went fastest on SS12, clearly showing that he is getting used to his new DS3, he holds 4th place just 30 seconds behind Petter. Service now in Valence. Then while drivers are out on last stage of today, the teams pack up service an move down to Monaco an set up for evening service.
