The 2007 F1 Champion and now World Rally star Kimi Raikkonen, will make his NASCAR World Truck series debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway, on 20th May.

The Finn, who finished 7th on Last weekends Rally Portugal, is said to be taking part in selected rounds of the truck series this year with his ICE1 Racing in NASCAR, the team which he competes in for the World Rally Championships, driving a Citroen DS3 World Rally Car. Full details are yet to be confirmed and revealed, but its thought that Raikkonen’s debut in the Truck series is the pathway to future participation in both the nationwide and Sprint cup series.

Raikkonen currently holds 9th in the WRC Championship standings with 10 points after competing in Sweden and Portugal.
